A tablet in honour of Cooke's Presbyterian Church parishioners who gave their lives in the First World War was unveiled on November 14, 1920. Of the 31 men listed, four were sergeants, one was a corporal and 26 were privates. The service was conducted by Brigadier-General Rennie and Colonel William Beattie, both former members of the church.

The church at 88-90 Queen Street E closed in 1982 and the building was torn down in 1984. It is not known what happened to the tablet.
