Erected by the village of Wawanesa, this memorial is dedicated to the local war dead of the First and Second World Wars. It was unveiled on 11 November 1921. It commands both the main street of the village and the top of a cliff flanking the River Souris. Stone columns enclose the monument and there is a fenced compound with flag pole to complete the site.
