The memorial, which looks like a brick pyramid with a flat top and brass plaque, commemorates local veterans of the First World War and Second World War. It was erected after WWI by the Alonsa Legion Branch No. 151, and the Alonsa Village School. The memorial is dedicated to citizens of the Alonsa region who served and died in military service during the First and Second World Wars.
