Other

On this site a cenotaph, dedicated to the local war dead of the First World War, was originally erected by the city of St. James and unveiled on 30 June 1936. Having fallen into disrepair, it was replaced by a new memorial, this shaft. Erected by Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 4 (St. James) and the City of Winnipeg Parks and Recreation Branch, it was unveiled on 30 September 1990, and adds dedications to the local war dead of the Second World War and the Korean War.
