This memorial is dedicated to the veterans of Strasbourg of the First and Second World Wars. It was erected by Royal Canadian Legion veterans and the Town of Strasbourg. This memorial was originally unveiled at a service on Sunday, September 20th, 1931 at 2 p.m in honour of the men from Strasbourg who died in the First World War. The ceremony was started with Collects led by Rev. O. Norton. The unveiling and address was conducted by the Hon. J.T.M. Anderson, the premier of Saskatchewan. Rev. A.C. Luffman conducted the dedication and prayer. J.W. Matthewson, Chairman of Trustees, presented the memorial to the Town of Strasbourg while Mayor W.D. McKay accepted the memorial. A. Wood read the names and W.F. Pirie played Last Post and Reveille. Captain F.B. Bagshaw, K.C. Regina addressed the attendees.
