St. Stephen's Church Memorial Chapel

The association of the King's Own Calgary Regiment and St. Stephen's Church, Calgary, has covered many years. During this time the Regiment has been served and assisted by the Ministers who occupied the pulpit and all of whom in their turn were Chaplain of the Regiment. Hundreds of past and present members of the Regiment regard St. Stephen's as their 'home' church. The affiliation of the Regiment with the church was warmly welcomed by the congregation who took pride in the association and when it became necessary for St. Stephen's to erect a new church building, they showed their respect and affection by incorporating into their building plans a Memorial Chapel dedicated to the Calgary Regiment. This was a free gesture on the part of the congregation and is an honour granted to few regiments in Canada.
