McGowan Avenue

McGowan Avenue honours Albert McGowan, Commanding Officer of Rocky Mountain Rangers. The City of Kamloops Heritage Commission initiated the Veterans Street Sign project to promote public awareness of the City’s heritage. To honour their Veterans the City of Kamloops added a poppy symbol to the McGowan Avenue street sign in honour of Albert McGowan.
