Un cairn en pierre sur la rue Railway, dans le village de Douglas, surmonté d’une mitrailleuse allemande Maxim Spandau de 7,92 mm de la Première Guerre mondiale fut érigé après la Première Guerre mondiale par les vétérans de la région en commémoration des camarades tués pendant la Grande Guerre. Le mémorial est dédié aux gens de la région qui ont servi et en particulier à ceux qui sont morts pendant la Première Guerre mondiale.
