Son of Arthur Garfield and Ethel May (nee Smith) Kidder. Brother of Alvin Harry and Alice Viola Marie.
He was one of six Canadian airmen shot after being recaptured during an escape from Stalag Luft 3.
1939-45 Star, Air Crew Europe Star, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and clasp, War Medal 1939-45, Mentioned in despatches, award effective 8 June 1944 as per London Gazette of that date.
