As we mark Remembrance Day this year, I want to let Canada’s Veterans, still-serving members and their families know that their country will always be here for them—with immense pride and gratitude.
I feel truly privileged to serve as Canada’s Minister of Veterans Affairs and to support the generations of brave men and women who have kept our great country safe and free.
I am equally proud to do so as part of a Government which has demonstrated . . . at every turn . . . its deepest and most profound commitment to those who wear our nation’s uniform—both past and present.
As the tragedies in Ottawa and South of Montreal remind us … we owe a great debt to these remarkable men and women …who have selflessly defended our cherished way of life.
This Remembrance Day, I encourage Canadians to …honour the fallen … commemorate the brave … and thank all members of the Canadians Armed Forces for their service.
Lest we forget.
