Join us for a reunion to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Honouring Our Local Veterans (HOLV) program at the Billy Bishop Museum! Over the last quarter-century, the Museum has honored 219 veterans who served in the First and Second World Wars, the Korean War, Peacekeeping Missions, Afghanistan, and Canadians who participated in the American Forces during the Vietnam and Gulf Wars. This special luncheon will bring together veterans previously recognized by HOLV, those yet to be honored, current members of the Canadian Armed Forces, and our community to celebrate the enduring legacy of service in Grey and Bruce Counties.

Come and mark this special occasion of commemoration on Sunday, August 10th at 11AM at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 6, Owen Sound. The reunion will begin with the return of the 2024 HOLV plaques, followed by lunch and by a keynote presentation by Brigadier General (Retired) Daniel MacIsaac, BEng, MDS, MPP, CD.

A delicious buffet lunch will be served by the Ladies' Auxiliary. Veterans and one accompanying support person will enjoy a complimentary meal, while tickets for the general public are priced at $35.00 each.

If you have received an Honouring Our Local Veterans plaque, please bring it with you so we can capture a group photo together.
