Join us for the Toronto premiere screening of the documentary "Ways We Remember War: The Second Battle of Ypres and Canada’s Memory", the story of Canada's first battle of the First World War and how art, memorials and pilgrimage shape the nation's memory.
Film produced by Professor Geoffrey Bird, War Heritage Research Initiative, Royal Roads University, Victoria, BC.
Organized by the Embassy of Belgium in Canada within the framework of the Belgian Days in Toronto, with the support of Veterans Affairs Canada and Toronto Metropolitan University & its Modern Literature and Culture Research Centre.
Light lunch & drinks will be available from 12 pm, with the screening session starting at 12.20 pm. Duration of the documentary: 70 minutes.
