Legacy Voices invites community members, educators, and students to a special event commemorating the 18th anniversary of the Black Canadian Veterans Oral History Project and celebrating the powerful educational programs developed by Black Canadian Veterans Stories. This milestone gathering highlights nearly two decades of preserving, teaching, and honouring the lived experiences of Black servicemen and servicewomen whose contributions have too often been overlooked. Attendees will explore new classroom resources, hear excerpts from recorded testimonies, and learn how these programs continue to shape national understanding of Black military history. Legacy Voices proudly marks this anniversary as both a celebration and a renewed call to safeguard these stories for future generations.
