Details: In 2019, the commemorative Boots traveled across the country to honor the soldiers who departed from Halifax to fight in Europe. This powerful symbol marked the ceremonies of the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings. In 2025, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of the Netherlands and the Victory in Europe, the boots will make the reverse journey, from Halifax to Toronto, to symbolize the soldiers’ return home.
