Details: The theme for Veterans’ Week 2025 is Canadian Armed Forces in the Americas. To highlight this year's theme, Veterans Affairs Canada will honour military members who have served in operations here at home and throughout the Americas, across Canada’s military history.

The Candlelight Tribute is an annual ceremony planned collaboratively between Veterans Affairs Canada and the Canadian War Museum.

This meaningful event brings everyone together to honour the service, sacrifices, and resilience demonstrated by all those who have served Canada.

The candlelight procession is a central component of the ceremony, which symbolizes transferring peace from one generation to the next and honouring the service of all those who have defended our country during times of conflict and peace.
