Join us as we mark the contributions and sacrifices of Indigenous Veterans at a special event to be held on Indigenous Veteran’s Day.

The program will include remarks from Elder Verna McGregor of Kitigan Zibi, as well as presentations from two guest speakers who will speak about the significance of this day:
 

  • Ann Chamberlin, Indigenous Advisor in Military Personnel Generation, Department of National Defence (DND)
     
  • Colonel David Grebstad, Deputy Commander, Canadian Armed Forces Transition Group, and Champion for both the NCR Defence Indigenous Advisory Group and the NCR Defence Team Pride Advisory Organization


Also in attendance will be the DND/CAF Eagle Staff, an important ceremonial object and living symbol of resilience within Indigenous and military communities.
