The Kakabeka Falls branch of the Royal Canadian Legion is proud to host its 8th Annual Half Marathon & 8K in honour of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War 2.
Participants travel along a partially closed Trans-Canada Highway, through some secondary highways, rolling country roads and a well-maintained trail in the Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park. Both the 8K and the Half Marathon course travel over the Kakabeka Falls and all runners will have a spectacular view of the second highest falls in Ontario.
Participants will find facts about the Canadian Forces involvement and history in WW 2 in both their race kits and along the course. We will have the participation of the local military and cadets units along with some 300 runners of all abilities. It is a fun, family orientated event with great finishing medals, and the renowned support of the Branch 225 of the Royal Canadian Legion.
