The Campaign in Sicily & Italy

On July 10th, 1943, Canadian Forces with their Allies, landed on the beaches of Sicily, and thenceforward relentlessly waged war until the German invader surrendered, and Italy, with her ancient glories, was reunited to the family of freedom. In this book are written the names of over six thousand men who were killed or died of wounds in battles which history, honouring the splendor of courage, will number amongst the hardest and most bitter of the Second World War

These sons of Canada gained & gave great glory. But dying they did not die, for they live and will live forever in the innermost heart of their own dear land.
