Located in front McGill University's Sir Arthur Currie Gymnasium, the base of this memorial flagpole names 16 members of the 10th Canadian Siege Battery killed during the First World War. The unit was organized in 1917, composed almost entirely of men from McGill.

The memorial flagpole was dedicated in October 1921 by Governor General Baron Byng.
