Following the Battle of the Somme, this memorial cross was erected to honour the men of the 16th Battalion (Canadian Scottish) Canadian Expeditionary Force, who fell in action at Mouquet from Sept 4-7; Kenora Trench September 26-27; and Regina Trench October 8-9 1916. It was transferred to the Canadian War Museum in 1942 through the War Trophies Disposal Board.
