This plaque commemorates the 50th anniversary of the 1st Battalion, Stormont Dundas and Glengarry Highlanders Association.

Inscription

ON MOBILIZATION, 18TH JUNE 1940, THE 1ST BATTALION OF THE STORMONT DUNDAS AND GLENGARRY HIGHLANDERS WAS RAISED, DRAWING FROM MILITIA UNITS IN PETERBOROUGH, KINGSTON, BROCKVILLE AND CORNWALL. THE 1ST BATTALION ASSOCIATION OF THE REGIMENT HELPED TO CARRY FORWARD THE PROUD TRADITIONS AND SPIRIT OF SERVICE SINCE THE DAYS OF THE GLENGARRY FENCIBLES. ON THIS DAY OF THE 50TH ANNUAL REUNION, 7TH JUNE 1997, WE PASS ON THESE TRADITIONS AND HERITAGE TO OUR YOUNG SOLDIERS.
