This monument, unveiled in 1983 by Mr. Gilles Lamontagne, Minister of National Defence, is dedicated to the Canadians who built, maintained and flew the first jet fighter interceptor, the Canuck CF-100 which was in service from 1950 to 1962. This section of Canadian Forces Base Montreal (Saint-Hubert) where the monument is located, was handed over to Ciné Cité in 1997.
The plane has been removed and only the concrete pedestal remains.
