Erected by Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 213, this memorial is dedicated to the local war dead of the First and Second World Wars and the Korean War. Prior to 1974 Central Butte did not have a monument and the Legion would lay wreaths at the Cross at the Veterans plot in Central Butte Cemetery. In 1974 a stone monument was built and services of Remembrance have since been held there. The monument is located in the centre of downtown, at the corner of Main and 2nd Avenue.
