This memorial was erected circa 1939 - 1940 in memory of those who served during the First and Second World Wars and the Korean War.

The memorial was originally placed on the grounds of a local church. In 1948 an inscribed tablet was purchased at the request of the local branch of the Royal Canadian Legion and dedicated on November 11, 1948. The memorial was moved from the church grounds to the present location at the Town Hall in 1957.
