The Comber Cenotaph is dedicated to Veterans of the First and Second World Wars and the Korean War. It was erected by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 241. The plaque dedicated to the veterans of the Korean War was placed on the memorial in 2001.

The Cenotaph was previously located on Municipal property, adjacent to a doctor’s office before being moved to the vacant lot next to the Legion as part of the Comber Veterans Memorial Gardens. Precariously, it was moved down the street, by Payloader, to its new home. The Women’s Institute flagpole – donated in the early 1920’s was dismantled, refurbished and relocated to the south-east corner of the lot. The Cenotaph was rededicated on September 23, 2000 with the opening of the Comber Veterans Memorial Gardens.
