These plaques, an English version unveiled, in 1902, by the Literary and Historical Society of Quebec and a French version, in 1987, by the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada, commemorate the defeat, on that site, of American General Arnold by Canada's defenders, on 31 December 1775.
