This street is named in memory of Private Roger Palmer Devos.
Roger Palmer Devos was born 26 May 1915 at Isegham (Izegem) Belgium. He emigrated to Canada and settled in London ON from where he enlisted. Assigned to the Essex Scottish Regiment, he was mortally wounded on 10 April 1945 but succumbed to his wounds the following day. He was originally buried at the civilian cemetery at Lochem, The Netherlands before being moved to his final resting place at the Holten Canadian War Cemetery.
