This memorial is dedicated to fallen soldiers from the First and Second World Wars, the Korean War and Vietnam. This monument was dedicated on November 11, 1967 and placed at a central location near the schools (Mead Street Park). It was later moved at the Legion Hall site in approx. 1982. The Mayor at the time, Leo Foucault (a veteran), played a key role in its purchase and dedication. The names engraved were all local residents. The Remembrance Day services are held at the Legion using the cenotaph for its focal point.
