Fallen Gunners Window

Toronto, Ontario
Type
Other

This window is dedicated to the fallen gunners by the gunners of the 7th Toronto Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery. At the bottom of the window is the gun badge worn on the beret. The badge is surmounted by the crown of the Royal Monarch Queen Elizabeth known as the Captain General, a rank dating from the 1500s. Blue and red lightning bolts rise up the window and they are a much used symbol of the artillery. The two flaming grenades at the top are collar badges. The grenades have seven flames.

There are only two regimental windows in the chapel - the 48th Highlanders of Canada and this one.
