Bells in honour of St. Cecilia's Church parishioners who gave their lives in the First World War were unveiled on May 4, 1924. Their design included the four Evangelists on one side, and the Crucifixion with Mary and St. John on the other side. The bells were manufactured in Tarbes, France. The large bell weighed 5,800 pounds and its Latin inscription translates to "I praise the true God; I call the people; I weep for the dead; I convoke the clergy." The small bell weighed 850 pounds.
