On May 2, 1920, Brigadier-General C.H. Mitchell unveiled a tablet honouring Deer Park Presbyterian Church parishioners who gave their lives in the First World War. The sermon was delivered by Reverend George G.D. Kilpatrick of Ottawa who served overseas and rose to the rank of major. The church at 129 St. Clair Avenue West closed and it is not known what happened to the plaque.
