This memorial was erected by the Flaxcombe Branch no. 98 of the Royal Canadian Legion. It is dedicated to those killed in the two world wars. The memorial is situated in an area designated as "park". When erected in 1929 it was situated in the centre of the park and surrounded by trees however when the highway was rebuilt a portion of the park was lost. Now the memorial around it, mainly lilacs and honeysuckle. There are also two flag poles on either side. The memorial is approximately 12 feet high and 10 feet square at the base and is made of stone topped with a wooden cross. The base is of two tiers and is made of parged concrete. Originally there were two captured armaments on concrete displayed in front of the cenotaph, one a machine gun and the other a heavy gun. This cenotaph has been badly neglected.
