This monument is dedicated to the sons and daughters of the Hope Township who served their country. It was erected by the Hope Township Cenotaph Remembrance Day Committee on September 18, 1988. The slash in the top of the stone represents a balance between war and peace and a movement towards heaven. Every Remembrance Day rocks are added to the stone wall behind the monument which represents the deaths from armed conflict.
