Huron Avenue United Church First World War Honour Roll

The Huron Avenue United Church First World War Honour Roll was originally displayed in the Hyatt Avenue United Church on Hamilton Road and subsequently in the Fairmont United Church on Tweedsmuir Avenue in London before the churches closed. Formerly Methodist, the Hyatt Avenue United Church was established in 1925 in the Hamilton Road community. This Honour Roll was erected by the Daisy Bible Class.

When local resident Mike Lee realized there was no longer a congregation at Fairmont United Church, he reached out to the Metropolitan United Church for this and two other Honour Rolls, then worked with the City to have them moved to their new location. In April 2022, all three of the memorials honouring Londoners from the Hamilton Road community who served in First World War and the Second World War were put on display in the lobby at Hamilton Road Seniors' Centre & Community Centre.
