This bronze plaque was erected by Werner Dietz, the Mayor of Lahr, Germany, on May 6, 1994. It is dedicated to the Canadian Forces for the contribution to Peace, Security, and harmonious relations between Canadian and German populations of Lahr/Schwarzenwald during their presence from 1967 to 1994.

The plaque is located in the main concourse of the Pearkes Building. It is engraved in German and features the Lahr’s coat of arms. There is an additional plaque providing translation in English and French.
