Donations from local residents led to the building of this memorial, which is dedicated to the local war dead of the First and Second World Wars and the Korean War. The memorial was constructed in 1959, and contains the names of 12 First World War veterans and 26 Second World War veterans who were killed in these wars are listed on the monument
