This memorial, erected in 1919, was dedicated to the memory of the citizens of Notre-Dame-de-Grace who fought during the First World War. It was sculpted by David Edstrom and designed by the architect Lucien Keroack
A bas-relief is affixed to the memorial representing troops marching past a cemetery, their bayonets in the air. Below, a sheaf of maple and oak leaves with two protruding crossed bayonets cover the top of a stele-shaped stone. On the left side, a Renommée holds laurel crowns.
Initially, the monument paid tribute to soldiers who died during the First World War, but after the Second World War and the Korean War, inscriptions commemorating these events were added.
Tagged with graffiti in July 2010 and in September 2011, the graffiti was erased, though a faint outline remains.
