Morristown Cenotaph

Morristown, Nova Scotia
Type
Other

This memorial is dedicated to the local war dead of the First and Second World Wars. The Cenotaph was paid for by the Federal Government and shipped by train to Aylesford N.S. It was then moved by horse and wagon to its present location in sections. The parents and friends of First World War Veterans Killed overseas build the base and assembled it. This Cenotaph is over 10 ft. in height and requires a strong base, (which is in poor condition). The names of those from the community of Morristown who gave their lives in action during the First and Second World Wars are engraved on this stone.
