The bronze plaques on the bottom corners list the veterans from the area who were killed in action in the First and Second World Wars. The cenotaph was first erected on the Southampton Legion grounds in 1970. After the Branch closed and was sold the cenotaph was moved beside the Town hall in 2011 and it has since found its final location near the river at 134 Otis Drive in Nackawic.
