The Peacekeeper sculpture depicts a typical Canadian Infantryman on United Nations (UN) duties. He is dressed with protective vest, UN beret and shoulder patch, with a portable radio on his back and C7 rifle slung. On his chest are a pair of binoculars, and two water bottles on his equipment belt indicates he is serving in a hot climate area. The model for this work was Master Corporal Landry, Company “D”, 2e Battalion, Royal 22nd Regiment. This sculpture was unveiled in 1990 and is dedicated to current and past Canadian Peacekeepers.
