This tablet was erected in honour of Pilot Officer Robert Clements who died in the Second World War. It was placed in the Trinity United church in Montague by his parents and when that church was closed it was placed in the present Hillcrest United church. The Valleyfield Presbyterian Church became Valleyfield United Church in 1925, and the building was moved to Montague in 1971, when it merged with Trinity United, Montague, and was renamed Hillcrest United Church.
