This stone cairn was erected by the Port Dover Women’s Institute in 1921 and dedicated to Port Dover and Woodhouse Boys who gave their lives in the First World War. The Second World War plaque was added in 1949 by the Port Dover ladies auxiliary British Empire Service League No 158. The Royal Canadian Legion Hugh Allan Branch No. 158 added a plaque for the Korean War in 1985 and later added a plaque honouring peacekeepers and current Armed Forces.
