The Priceville Cenotaph was erected through donations made by Priceville and area residents. The marble statue of a soldier sits on a granite base.
Initially the structure was to honour those who served and in memory of those who died in the First World War. The original cost of the cenotaph was $2,400.00 and it was dedicated on October 4, 1921.
Priceville servicemen were involved in the battles at Ypres and Mons. One hundred and twenty seven men from the area served in the Canadian Expeditionary Force. Fifteen were killed and sixty were wounded.
In the Second World War, eighty-two residents from this area served in various branches of the Armed Forces. Five died and their names were added to the cenotaph.
In 1992, a committee restored the cenotaph and developed the surrounding area into a park. On July 16, 1995 a re-dedication service was held.
