This memorial is dedicated to the Royal Canadian Regiment killed in NW Rebellion, First and Second World Wars, Korean War and UN Peacekeeping. It was erected by the Royal Canadian Regiment Association on June 30, 1983. The RCR is Canada's senior Regular Force infantry regiment and has served the country continuously since 1883. The Regiment has seen action in the North-West Rebellion of 1885, the South African War, First and Second World Wars, Korea and Gulf War. Battalions of The Regiment have served on NATO duty in Europe and on United Nations Peacekeeping operations in Cyprus and the former Yugoslavia. The Regiment consists of a Regimental Headquarters, three Regular Force battalions, and a Reserve Force battalion. The Home Station is Wolseley Barracks in London, Ontario where Regimental Headquarters and the 4th Battalion are located.
