The Sparrow Window was erected in the Church of the Epiphany by Mrs. Sparrow in memory of her husband Joseph Sparrow who died in 1912 and their son Lieutenant Charles Hutchison Sparrow who died in the First World War. The Church of the Epiphany was located at 1515 Queen Street West until it was sold on 11 June 1983 to the Our Lady of Lebanon Parish.

Inscription

To the Glory of GOD and in Loving Memory of Jos. Wm. Sparrow died Oct. 31, 1912, aged 53 years and his son Charles H. Sparrow.
Lieut. 47th Bn., C.E.F. Killed in action at Vimy Ridge, March 31, 1917, aged 23 years. Erected by a loving wife and mother, A.D. 1918.
"GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS, THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS."
