This memorial is dedicated to "Sport" War Dog. "Sport" war dog, Mascot #1, Canadian General Reinfor Unit C.A.O. 1942-1945, died August 2, 1954 received a full military funeral with Lorne Scots Reserve Army Guard of Honour. Sport's owner was S/Sgt. Oscar Steky.
