In 1945, St. John's United Church had contributed to the rebuilding of Continental churches; celebrated Victory Sunday; and made plans for welcoming its own returned men, including the gift of an engraved ring for each. An Honour Roll was placed in the church, bearing the names of the 72 who had served in the conflict. Of these, three gave their lives.
