Other

This memorial stands first to honour Swift Current's own 209th Battalion Infantry, Canadian Expeditionary Force of the First World War. The cenotaph was built in 1927 and dedicated on 11 November 1927, by Lieutenant Governor H.W. Newlands. It was built for around $10,000 with the funds raised from the city of Swift Current and those living in the surrounding area.

It has also been dedicated to all Veterans of the First and Second World Wars, and Korean War. The Korean War bronze plaque was dedicated during "Canada Remembers" in May 1995.

On 14 May 2022, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 56 Swift Current, along with the City of Swift Current and the Comrades Forever held a ceremony in which two new plaques were added to the cenotaph. One plaque is dedicated to those who served and gave their lives during peacekeeping operations 1954 - present and the second plaque is dedicated to those who served and gave their lives during Canada's mission in Afghanistan.
