THIS SITE WAS
FORMERLY OCCUPIED BY
THE GARRISON CHAPEL
BUILT IN 1844 BY THE
BRITISH ARMY GARRISON
OF HALIFAX.
THE CHAPEL WAS USED
BY BRITISH TROOPS UNTIL
THEIR WITHDRAWAL
IN 1905.
IT WAS DESTROYED BY
FIRE IN 1926.
