The Veterans’ Graveyard is included in the Saint-Michel Cemetery, on des Forges Boulevard in Trois-Rivières. When it was officially opened on June 13th, 1971, it already included 57 graves. By September 21, 1997, there were 172. Only those who served during the World Wars of 1914-18 and 1939-45 or the Korean War are allowed to be buried in that plot. Each year, on the last Sunday of May, it is the site of a pilgrimage.
